Tribute to the legendary Gaetano Scirea

Tepat 17 thn yg lalu tgl 3 September 1989, seorg pemain besar yg menjd legenda Juventus dan sepakbola Italia meninggal dunia dlm sebuah insiden kecelakaan lalulintas di Polandia. Insiden yg terjd saat Scirea menjalankan tugasnya sbg asisten pelatih Juventus utk melihat calon lawan Juventus di perhelatan UEFA Cup saat itu, sebuah kehilangan besar bg para Juventini serta dunia sepakbola Italia.
Perjalanan seorg Scirea menunjukkan kelasnya sbg seorg pemain besar, dgn posisi sbg seorg sweeper atau libero, dia tdk pernah memperoleh kartu merah selama karirnya sbg pemain, selain itu dikenal sbg sosok yg sgt sportif dan menjunjung tinggi fair play!
Utk mengenang kebesarannya serta menunjukan rasa cinta kpdnya sebuah Curva di Delle Alpi dinamakan Curva Scirea!

, lo udah mengingatkan para rekan Juventini ttg beliau. Beliau tidak banyak omong, seorang leader sejati, elegan, tenang, berkarisma & berjiwa petarung. Dipanggil "Captain Gae" & pintar mengkoordinasi rekan2 terutama lini belakang. Seorang jendral di lapangan & karismanya bisa melebihi seorang Franz Beckenbauer sekalipun :shock:

. Bener2 "The True Champions" & akan mjd panutan buat generasi berikutnya. "Seorang Scirea akan slalu ada di urat nadiku sampe akhir hayatku"

gw pernah post link tandatangan petisi tuh di juvenistina, buat ngabadikan nomor 6 buat Scirea...tapi sayang tuh petisi akhirnya ngga ditanggepin sama Juventus board.

Gai not forgotten

On September 3rd 1989, during a scouting trip to Poland to take a look at his Juventus' upcoming UEFA Cup opponents, Gaetano Scirea died in a terrible car accident; he was only thirty-six at the time.
Nineteen years have gone by since then, but his memory lives on more than ever, not only among the Juventini, but among all other football fans too, regardless of the team they support.

As a footballer, Scirea won every possible honour: the World Cup, 7 League titles, 2 Italian Cups, 1 European Cup, 1 Cup Winners' Cup, 1 UEFA Cup, 1 European Super Cup and 1 Europe/South America Cup. First and foremost, though, apart from being a great footballer, Scirea was a gentleman and a sportsman with no equals. Suffice to say that in his entire career, playing as skipper behind the defence, he never got one single red card.
Everyone at Juventus and all the fans affectionately join his widow Mariella and his son Riccardo in mourning the memory of the unforgettable Gai.
